- Why not do something for renters?  Bothh candidates and the Bush administration plan assistance for homeowners who got in trouble with subprime loans.  Middle class renters pay exorbitant rents and do not get assistance.  We don't qualify for Section 8. stipends.
Do the steps being taken by the U.S. government restore your confidence in the economy?

- Taxes will go through the roof. If they were serious they would drastically cut spending on other programs. They cater the moneyed class.
Idea of gas-tax holiday runs into a dead end

- Ten cents is not enough. Lets start with fifty cents and every time gas goes up fifty cents. raise the tax another twenty-five cents. Use the bulk of the money for mass transit, and research on energy efficient cars. Use some of the money for roads and infrastructure.
